Director of Human Resources

Tameka is a dedicated Human Resource Professional with over 10 years of working experience in Human Resources. Prior to joining Memphis Goodwill  in March 2006, Tameka began her professional career in June 2000 with Lifeblood (Mid-South Regional Blood Center) as a Technical Support Administrative Assistant. One year later, Tameka was promoted to a Human Resource Specialist, where she began her growth in learning the full spectrum of the functions in Human Resources. In this position she managed processes and assured that all policies and procedures were in accordance with company policy as well as state and federal laws. Prior to working at Lifeblood, Tameka worked for Wal-Mart Supercenter #848 as a part-time Customer Service Clerk from August 1996 up until joining Lifeblood while paying her way through college. In May 2000 Tameka graduated from Shelby State Community College with an Associates of Applied Science Degree. Tameka continued her education at University of Memphis and studied Organizational Leadership receiving a Bachelors of Professional Studies Degree. Tameka enjoys her job and said that, “Serving and working as a Human Resource Professional is a passion for me because I enjoy being able to make a positive difference in many lives while being a mentor and support to those I work with.”
