A MESSAGE UPDATE TO OUR SHOPPERS, DONORS AND THOSE WE SERVE

December 22, 2020 |

Memphis Goodwill is committed to the health and safety of our customers, donors, employees, students and program participants. As a mission-based nonprofit organization, we continue to work hard on our ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic while supporting our employees and the communities we serve during this unprecedented public health event.  We are closely following guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health officials.

With increased health directives, we have implemented additional temporary protocols including a 50% occupancy limit with our Shelby County stores beginning December 26, 2020. We continue to practice social distancing, and our employees are following hygiene and cleaning guidelines from the CDC. We provide masks, gloves and disinfectant supplies as regularly stocked items at all of our locations year-round, and strive to keep our customers and donors, employees, and the communities we serve as safe as possible.

Our stores will continue operating at the current modified hours. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Attended Donation Centers are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. A list of locations is available on our website at goodwillmemphis.org.

Goodwill has served the Mid-South for 97 years, and our mission is to change lives by providing job opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment through the power of work, education and empowerment. Our donated goods operations help fund job training programs including career development and education services.

Our ability to maintain a safe and functioning work environment is critical to the continued advancement of our mission. To do this, we rely greatly on the donations of the generous citizens of the Mid-South. Your support has made – and will continue to make – our communities stronger.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work to provide a safe and sanitized shopping environment for both our customers and employees.

Yours in Goodwill,
Tony Martini, CEO & President
Memphis Goodwill, Inc.
