Goodwill Carriage Crossing Store Opening Is Huge Success
In its first 15 minutes of business, more than 250 shoppers entered Goodwill’s new Carriage Crossing MarketPlace store in Collierville on grand opening day Thursday, April 11. A steady stream of bargain hunters arrived throughout the day at the store located at 10217 E. Shelby Drive & Houston Levee.
Goodwill President & CEO Tony Martini was joined by Collierville Mayor Stan Joyner, Cathy Wilheim of the Collierville Chamber of Commerce, Goodwill VP of Donated Goods Teresa Gabor and the store’s Team Leader Coach Lisa Cartwright for the 9 a.m. ribbon-cutting.
Throughout the day’s celebrations, shoppers had fun playing “Basket Bingo” for store merchandise bucks, and drawings were held for $25 gift certificates.
Goodwill’s store at Carriage Crossing MarketPlace has 14,000 square feet of retail space, almost double the amount of space in the old store location at Poplar & Byhalia. A special feature of the new location is a covered donation drive-through. Goodwill built the new donation entrance and covered drive area on the west side of the store to provide greater convenience for Goodwill donors.
Shopping hours at Carriage Crossing MarketPlace are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Donation hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
